House Hunters Family Season 2 Episode 7 Recap: Active Living in Papillion, NE

House Hunters Family Season 2 Episode 7 Recap: Active Living in Papillion, NE-1Megan and Justin Fry have been married for almost 15 years. They have three children, two sons (Kolton (7) and Kailer (10)) and a daughter (Camden (12)). To help them start over, this House Hunters Family needs to find a new place in Papillion, Nebraska. The Frys have been living at their current home for 10 years when a tornado caused major devastation to it.

They spent over a year repairing their home, but decided to move to somewhere new. Megan and Justin have a budget between $300,000 and $400,000.

Wish Lists

The Frys want a four bedroom, two and a half bathroom home. They want a large kitchen with an open floor concept. Megan works from home, so she would like some office space with a closed door–to work without interruptions. The Frys also have dogs, which means they need a fenced backyard.

Children’s list: Kailer wants his own room, so that he doesn’t have to share with his brother anymore. Camden wants a bay window and private bathroom. Kolton wants a kids only space away from the parents.

House #1, $425,000

House Hunters Family Season 2 Episode 7 Recap: Active Living in Papillion, NE

This modern pool house has four bedrooms and three bathrooms. It, of course, has an inground pool, but it doesn’t leave much backyard room. It’s a great spot to host guests, but not animals. The kitchen has an open concept. The house is not completely open because it has a formal living room and dining room. The entire place has a dark color scheme.

The master bedroom has a big closet and its own bathroom. The master bedroom is glorious with extra sitting in area. There are barn doors that lead to the bathroom. The children all have nice size rooms. Camden would get her own bathroom, but Kolton and Kailer would have to share one. This house also has a second living room on the top floor, which could become the kids only space.

House #2, $205,000

House Hunters Family Season 2 Episode 7 Recap: Active Living in Papillion, NE-2

This is a classic Victorian home with a wrap-around porch. The home was built 110 years ago, so it has a lot of character and history. It has four bedrooms, and one and a half bathrooms. There are beautiful hardwood floors and wood columns throughout this place. This home is also not a completely open concept. It has a large wood kitchen with a washer and dryer right in the middle of it.

The kid’s rooms are spacious but not as big as they were in the first home. One room has a bay window, just like Camden wanted. The master bedroom is small and missing a bathroom. The backyard in this place is very big and one of the most appealing parts of this home.

House #3, $397,000

House Hunters Family Season 2 Episode 7 Recap: Active Living in Papillion, NE-3

This is a five bedroom, four bathroom new construction home. It has a lovely stone frame. The entire home is open concept with an electric fireplace and stove. The kitchen is smaller than they hoped but has a large island. This home has an office with a barn door to close it. All the children’s rooms are large, but the master bedroom is on the smaller side.

Decision Time: House #3 seems to fit most of their wish list Items, but it lacked the dream kitchen and master bedroom. House #2 is gorgeous but needs a lot of renovations. House #1 would have been the perfect choice if it had an actual backyard for the dogs.

House Hunters Family Season 2 Episode 7 Recap: Active Living in Papillion, NE-4The Fryers pick…House #3.

They paid the asking price of $397,000, and they’re enjoying their new home.
