Move over, Tarek and Christina. HGTV has announced its plans to launch several Flip Or Flop spinoff series over more than the next year with Flip Or Flop Vegas starting off the parade of new versions.
Following the formula of the original Flip series with a male/female team of demolishing and designing, there are at least five new spinoffs featuring pairs of home flippers for HGTV’s scheduling and get ready because the first one, Vegas, is coming up soon.
Set to premiere on April 6 (9/8c) on HGTV, “Flip Or Flop Vegas” stars Bristol Marunde as the designer and his wife Aubrey Marunde as the couple’s real estate expert, though both handle the design aspects of their work. Bristol is a former MMA fighter so he should be familiar with the spotlight this series is sure to bring them.
More ‘Flip Or Flop’ Spinoffs To Follow:
The Marunde couple won’t be the only Flip Or Flop spinoffs stars though as HGTV is also adding new spinoffs in Atlanta, Texas, Nashville, and Chicago. Vegas is first up with its April premiere but then we’ll have Flip Or Flop Atlanta following not far behind in the summer of 2017. There you’ll find Anita and Ken Corsini as the team in action. Then we’ll see Flip or Flip Nashville and Flip or Flop Texas sometime in early 2018. No dates yet for the Chicago series.
As for the original Flip Or Flop team, don’t worry, they aren’t going anywhere. HGTV says they’re actively working on the next season of the original so there’s more screen time ahead for Tarek and Christina El Moussa.
And as for any connection between these new shows and the recent marital drama between Christina and Tarek, well that’s reportedly unrelated to the emergence of the spinoffs. HGTV has been working at these new shows for over a year which makes it more of a coincidental timing.
What do you think of the new Flip Or Flop series spinoffs? Can a new couple catch the same appeal offered by the original? We’ll be watching to see how the new shows turn out!
