HGTV announced today a new spinoff, “Fixer Upper: Behind The Design” with the focus on Joanna Gaines, sorry Chip, as she takes us behind the scenes of her Fixer Upper designs!
The new Fixer Upper spinoff will feature Joanna Gaines’s designs in-depth with behind the scenes looks at how she brings the house together from the big picture to the finishing touches.
What is ‘Fixer Upper Behind The Design’?
HGTV explained that these will be the designs we’re already seeing in the regular Fixer Upper episodes. Instead of including Chip’s antics, house picking, demoing, and more of Chip’s craziness the new “Behind The Design” will focus on just that.
HGTV’s chief programming officer for Scripps Networks explained how the show will be a companion piece to the regular episodes. Now we’ll get to see what the cameras were capturing as Joanna worked her way through the entire design.
Yes, they’ve been filming in parallel all that content down to her picking pillow colors. This will “give diehard fans more detail on something that they love.”
When Does ‘Fixer Upper Behind The Design’ Start?
The new series will launch later in 2017 and be scheduled to follow directly after the regular Fixer Upper episodes. No premiere date has yet been announced by HGTV, but when it does we will update and share the news.
Are you ready for a Fixer Upper spinoff? It’s quite the theme this year for HGTV with the earlier news of FIVE more Flip Or Flop spinoffs coming up with the first, Vegas, starting in April 2017! Set your DVRs and settle in for more Magnolia designs and Joanna Gaines.
