Bistol and Aubrey buy a home sight unseen on this week’s Flip or Flop Vegas. The couple luck out with the home not being in that bad of a condition. The homeowners had to sell the place quickly to avoid foreclosure. They were still living in the place up until Bristol and Aubrey took it over.
They pay $250,000 for the place, but estimate that due to the neighborhood, it would normally cost them around $400,000 to own it. The biggest flaw with this home is that it is very outdated.
Aubrey wants to repaint the front to give it a little more of a modern outside appearance. She also thinks that the kitchen could be a lot bigger, so they want to take down a wall to expend it. This would give the home a more open concept.
The three bedrooms, two bathroom home has plenty of space, including a den. Aubrey and Bristol workshop some ideas for the den, like turning it into an extra bedroom or making it a play area.
The bedrooms are spacious but covered in graffiti, which both believe is an easy fix. Bistol’s first major issue is whether to get rid of the hot tub or try to save it. The wire marks seem to indicate that rats have been biting on it, causing it to not work.
They decide to scrap the hot tub and replace it with a lime tree. Aubrey doesn’t have any really over-the-top ideas for the home. She just wants peacock blue to run throughout. She pairs this color with her blue and pink staging.
The couple doubles the shower, turning it basically into a day spa. Bristol and Aubrey officially turn the dining room into an office space. Most of the other rooms just get a fresh coat of paint and some design touches.
The finished product is stunning. Aubrey manages to get her signature neutral colors with a spot of color in there, and this time it works very well. The pops of blue throughout the house stand out without being overpowering. It’s more of a sophisticated home for a more sophisticated client.
